Meet Meteorologist Scotty Powell

Scotty earned his degree in education from Appalachian State University before completing his degree in meteorology at Penn State. By combining his background in education with his passion for weather, he has built a career around making forecasts clear, dependable, and easy to understand.

After working as a television meteorologist at WBTW, Scotty launched his independent digital platform to continue providing timely forecasts, severe-weather updates, and community-focused coverage directly to the people he calls neighbors. He also serves as a support meteorologist for Speedway Motorsports, providing weather support for tracks throughout the company's portfolio.

Beyond weather, Scotty is an avid golfer, NASCAR enthusiast, dog lover, and passionate supporter of the coastal lifestyle. His content celebrates the people, businesses, attractions, and communities that make the Carolinas such a special place to live and visit.

Scotty is available for speaking engagements, weather presentations, community events, and faith-based programs throughout the Grand Strand and Pee Dee.
